Discovery of Mushrow Astrolabes

Learn about the valuable discovery of the Mushrow Astrolabes – found in the early 1980’s on a shipwreck off the coast of Isle aux Morts. This astrolabe (which was more than 350 years old when found) was a discovery of great historical importance. It was the only one of its kind ever found in Canada, and one of only four of it’s kind found in the world. It is called the “Mushrow Astrolade” in Wayne Mushrow’s honour.
